RKit-STM8 Lite Toolset

Register for C compiler license to output up to 32 Kbytes of code for STM8

This page takes you through all of the steps for installing, registering and activating the RKit-STM8 Lite toolset to output code up to 32 Kbytes in size for STM8 microcontrollers.

#1 Download and Install the Software

• Click on "Go to download" in the table below to enter
  the Raisonance Support Extranet
• Create an account and then Login
• Click on Download > MCU tools
• Click on "RKit-STM8"
• Download Ride7 and RKit-STM8
• Install Ride7
• Install RKit-STM8

Note: The installed software with "Enterprise" features will function for 7-days. If not registered after 7-days, the software will stop functioning.

#2 Retrieve the "Serial Key" for your PC

The serial key is the equivalent of your product serial number. It identifies your product in the case of support requests.

• In the "RKit-STM8 serial key generator" on the STM8 download page of the Support Extranet
  • Verify the Username and E-mail
  • Click on Generate and Send Serial key
• Copy the Serial Key that is sent to your e-mail address
• Launch Ride7 
• Select Help > License...
• Select Serial Activation
• Paste the Serial Key in the provided field
• Click on Next 

#3 Activate your product in Ride7

The activation code that you will receive in this step unlocks the product on your PC. Your PC must have an internet connection. If not, please contact support@raisonance.com.

• Click on Get Activation code online

This opens a browser window to the Raisonance Support Extranet

• Verify the user information
• Click on Generate and Send Activation code

An e-mail with the Activation code is sent.

• Copy the Activation code into the field provided in Ride7
• Click on Close

Your product has been activated.

#4 Confirm the Activation of Your STM8 RKit Lite Toolset

• Click Help>About Ride7...

When correctly activated, the license for RKit-STM8 for Ride7, will be "Lite Suite".

The output object code size for your Raisonance STM8 compiler tool chain is now enabled for up to 32 Kbytes. If your application should exceed this limitation, it is also possible to purchase the RKit-STM8-PRO with unlimited compiler toolchain.
