Raisonance Hardware & Software Tools for Creating STR9 Applications

Raisonance today released a complete line of tools for creating and fine tuning applications for the latest STMicroelectronics family of ARM966E core-based microcontrollers - the STR9.

Raisonance's software tool line is founded on the Ride integrated development environment, which provides an intuitive and free windows interface for coding, compiling, and debugging application software. Ride provides fully integrated control of the Raisonance RKit-ARM, which includes GCC C compiler for ARM and support for a complete range of STR9 devices. The GCC C compiler, which is delivered for free as an integral part of the Raisonance solution, has been carefully adapted and optimized by Raisonance to provide the best results when developing deeply embedded applications for STR9 and other ARM core-based MCUs. Ride, in conjunction with Raisonance hardware tools allows users to quickly and easily create their first applications, program them to a target STR9 device and debug the application code while it runs on the MCU. Hardware is available to meet every user need, from evaluation, to advanced debugging and programming of components. Raisonance REva starter kits (STR91x-SK) combine a full range of hardware features with the flexibility of a modular platform that allows the evluation of many different target MCUs. For evaluation of connectivity features, users can take advantage of integrated Ethernet and USB connectors on the target specific daughter board. The board also features an ETM trace connector and the Ride intergrated development environment includes support of the Signum JTAGjet tool for ETM trace capability. For debugging/programming connection to a users' prototypes or final application hardware, the RLink debugger/programmer (USB/JTAG) provides a versatile, robust and cost effective solutions that is equally adapted to application debugging and programming in a production environment.
