These are the release notes for the Raisonance toolset called RKit-C816, which
in conjunction with the Ride7 integrated development environment supports
application development for CoolRisc microcontroller family.
These notes include specific information about RKit-C816, including current
version, supported device families/sub-families, new features, fixes and known
limitations.

 B. Supported Configurations/Platforms

Raisonance tool sets and Ride7 operate on Windows Vista (including 64-bits) and
Windows XP. Other versions of Windows, including Windows 2000 and Windows
Server, are not supported.

 C. Supported Microcontrollers

RKit-C816 supports output for:
        . EM6819x and EM6869  microcontrollers from Electonic Marin
        . XE143x, SX144x and XE-Prostart2  microcontrollers Semtech

A complete list of supported variants in these families is provided in Ride7
when installed with RKit-C816 (including free versions).

        . Added automatic generation of linker specific listing file
        . Code Compressor utility is more stable and section memory saving

        . EM6869_pgm.exe command line programming tool was not in the install.
        . EM6819 RegCacheCfg1 and RegCacheCfg2 values were not correctly displayed
           in the debugger.
        . Corrected code and date size display to be more in adequation with

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
        . Ride7 and RKit-C816 must be installed in a directory path which does not have any spaces.
        
        . The debug tool "Go to definition" does not work with all targets.
        
        . You can run multiple instaces of Ride7 but there is a limit to the number of instances based on the reaources of the machine.
        
        . RKit-C816 can not be used on the same machine without changing the environment variable. Please refer to GCC documentation.
